Can't believe it...

I got a phone call from the warranty company this morning. They were unable to find a contractor that could come to our house before THURSDAY. Finally she told me I could find my own plumber they would reimburse us for paying for one. I was able to find one who took care of the problem (for now) and it was $205. They are going to reimburse us the whole amount. Thank God!

I can't believe I'm being induced tomorrow and will (probably) meet my little girl tomorrow. I'm so anxious, nervous, excited, in disbelief. I'm being induced at 6am EST. I can't wait to see her face and cover it with kisses.

Please pray for our safety! :)

More eventful day..

First I was upset about this....

On Wednesday night water backed up into our garage while I was running the washing machine. Tom heard it and was able to stop the machine before it flooded most of the garage. I submitted a claim to our home warranty. They said someone would contact us in 24hrs. Nobody EVER called... but the water went down and we were able to resume normal things like dishwasher, washing machine, etc.

Well tonight -while DH was out- I started a load of laundry and went & raked the front yard... I'm sure you know where this is going...

my whole garage is soaked...... laundry waiting to be done is soaked.... boxes on the garage floor are soaked... I pinched my finger trying to move something.. I feel like having a meltdown.

I called the emergency home warranty line and they said they are going to try and get someone here within 8hrs. I'm so afraid they are going to come out and find out it's backing up for some reason they won't pay for... ya know warranty restrictions, etc.

The timing is bad...

THEN THIS HAPPENED....

I was sitting here in the basement pouting about the garage when I heard someone ring the door bell and turn the door knob at the exact same time. The door was locked though. I called Tom to ask if it was him. He said it wasn't. I live in a bi-level and so I went to look out the basement window and realized our motion light wasn't on- I couldn't see anyone (I'm thinking this is why they rang and turned knob since it was dark) I walked up the stairs, flipped the light on and looked out. Nobody...

Then I went upstairs and was in my bedroom (on back of the house) I looked out and saw a light in the back corner of the yard. I wondered if the neighbors had a solar light (kind of that color) I shut the blind... opened back up the blind and saw someone running away with a flashlight... he was running up the driveway of the neighbor's house behind us- up to the street......I freaked out!

I called the police. They tried to convince me it may have been a neighbor who had walked to their shed and was running away because they were cold.

YEAH RIGHT... I think they ran away because they saw me looking out my bedroom at them.

Tom arrived home. We went and talked to the neighbors... in the backyard you can see where some of our plants had been squashed from somebody stepping on them.

I'm SOOOOO glad I had locked the front door. Sometimes I'm guilty of leaving it unlocked when I shouldn't.

Boring day...

Our backyard desperately needed to be raked today... so I got up and went out there. By the time Tom caught me I had this accomplished.

And then he did the rest of the raking. I held the bags while he bagged all the leaves... think we had a lot of leaves??

I did not actually jump into the piles (the thought DID cross my mind) but I was using my body weight and climbing on the bags to squish them down...

Well at one point I go to do this and my whole body starts tipping forward... so there I am butt way up in the air, straddling this big bag of leaves, and my face almost planted into the ground. I'm laughing so hard I can't get up. Tom is laughing so hard he can't help me. The whole time I can't quit laughing and I'm thinking "I just know I'm going to pee my pants on this bag" Thankfully that did not happen. We laughed forever though. Hope I could at least make you laugh...

I would like to get some more laundry folded and put away. Vacuum and mop (and no I'm not having a burst of energy- I just need get it done lol)

Tonight we had dinner at one of my favorite restaurants. Pompilio's. They have the yummiest Italian food. I had manicotti and meatballs. Finished with spumoni ice cream. Mmm.... I love that stuff.

Look at this big ol' thang...

40weeks2d.... amazing what 2 days overdue can do to you mentally. I'm already feeling emotional. Hanging in there though.... hanging in there... There is an end in sight..
My induction is Tuesday at 6am... Somehow that seems SO close and SO far away at the same time.

I'm so swollen right now it's amazing.

I need to fold laundry, vacuum, mop.... I'm hoping for at least one contraction to scare me and make me get up and do those things...

I feel bad complaining- I'm very grateful for my little one... I just can't wait to meet her

Two days in a row :)

You're getting really lucky! I've posted 2 days in a row.

I looked in the mirror and scared myself this morning. I look like p0o00p. My face is getting so swollen. My arms are swollen. My hands are swollen. My legs? Well they've been swollen for 15 weeks now. Pooop I tell you.... po0.

I went to my nonstress test today. I have a very lazy baby. She had to be buzzed about 3x- she didn't want to move around. If I hummed though- she'd move more... She either likes my singing or she's horrified by it ;-)

I ran a few errands today. Now I'm avoiding folding some laundry. Tom's parents are bringing over Emma's bookcase any minute. I promise I'll post pictures once it arrives.

**UPDATE** I think the bookcase looks great!

2 posts in one day!!

Can you believe it, Trish?? :)

-Windshield is done. Yay for new windshield...

-OB appt went well. I was 2cm dilated. They stripped my membranes again. Let's hope that gets something going naturally. If not my induction is next Tuesday at 6am.

Now we're hanging out at home. Later on we are going to pick up my jogging stroller from Walmart. Then we're going to go eat some Indian food. I wonder if Indian food has some kind of labor inducing spices ;)

Due Date :)

Today is my due date!!! I can't believe it. I can't believe the day is finally here. You know the minute you get your BFP you sit down and figure out your due date... (it was changed a couple weeks later) but still... you get this date just stuck in your head. At the time it seems SOOOOOOO far away.... and now that day is TODAY... It's surreal! :)

Sorry I haven't update this thing enough!!! (Sorry Trish- especially since I check your blog for an update everyday!)

But I was actually just getting on here to start to update this thing. I'm sure quite a few of the posts are going to be boring but I'm going to make a point to update it. EVERY DAY. No matter what....

So here goes. So far today I've drank some egg nog. Brushed my teeth (threw up while doing that- I sure hope that's the last time that happens) Piece of advice- Don't drink egg nog then brush your teeth. BLALLAAAHHH!! I can't tell this story to Tom- he HATES egg nog and he'd probably die thinking the sink is evil and tainted forever... hehe :)

I'm waiting for some guy to come replace the windshield in my car. It's been cracked for almost a year now. For some reason I decide the week of my due date to get it replaced. I mean- insurance pays for it. Why did I wait so long?? Who knows... just feel bad for him out repairing it in the 29 degree weather....

I have an OB appt today at 3:15. Let's hope for some PROGRESS. I'm sure they'll schedule my induction today too- for next Wednesday.

I'm impatiently waiting for her... though I feel very blessed. I have no been uncomfortable... so I'm very blessed. Just knowing she will be here within the next 8 days just gets me feeling excited, freaked out, blessed, amazed, scared.... ya know...

I love you so much Emma, I can't wait to be able to kiss your little face..

(39 weeks- I'll try and take another picture today)
